Theophrastus was an ancient Greek, native of Eresos, and successor to Aristotle in the Peripatetic school.

Condition -
See pictures. Worn vellum binding, with some cockling and stains to rear board; title in old hand on spine. Some soiling to binding. Lots of notes, in graphite, on pastedown and FFEP. Upper corner of FFEP clipped. Toning, especially near edges, and a little thumbing throughout. Light foxing to paper also. 32, 74 and 198 with graphite notes in the margin. Page 87 with 1 cm chip at fore-edge. Last few leaves with a small bump at fore-edge. Rear boards vellum turn-in at fore-edge starting to lift.
