I saw this at an auction and I thought someone might like the pretty French armorial binding. It is missing its title page. I matched the typography, privilege, etc. to a scanned copy hosted on Google Books. It is a 1727 edition, the third edition. It is a conference with Mr. Claude, minister of Charenton, concerning the authority of the church (written by James Benigne Bossuet). Claude was a protestant, and best known for opposing a merger of the Catholic and Protestant Church.
The second half of the book is reflections on the writing of M. Claude. The book is printed in French.
