1844 Book of Common Prayer, Sacraments, Rites, Psalter (Psalms of David), New Testament. University Press, Oxford.

A stunning Book of Common Prayer, velvet with brass hardware (including three edges, and a clasp). The box has protected the book to a marvelous extent.

The printed work appears to be something of a special extended version, also containing:
The Sacraments, and other Rites and Ceremonies of the Church
Psalter Or Psalms of David
The Form and Manner of Making, Ordaining and Consecrating Bishops, Priests and Deacons
The New Testament

About the Provenance -
A book plate within states Kensington Palace, but this is misleading. It was sold by the binder Stocken located at 53 Quadrant, very near the Palace. Still, it may impress your friends.

Physical Attributes -

Measures 13 x 8.5 x 4.5 cm. Brass hardware on all three edges of the boards, with and a clasp. Velvet with a "Church Services" medallion on front board. AEG - All edges gilt. Three place keeping ribbons.

Condition -

See pictures. There is some wear to the case, and the case's strap to pull the flap off is expired where it exits the boss. The book has one small indent on the front velvet from an irregularity inside the box; else, it is almost new. Bookplate and binder stamp on blank front endpapers.
