There are two states of this 1648 English civil war era Bible; this is the one with John Field's name abbreviated and "Payne" signed to the bottom of the title page. I believe I read that this is the more rare state, but I'm having difficulty finding that reference now. This is the complete Old and New Testament (the Apocrypha is not included).
Written on the pastedown is "Hallmarke, Long Acre 58"; Aldebert and Halmarke were at Long Acre 57 and 58, London and produced carriages in the mid-19th century.
