An awesome book for the shelf of the Western foodie: Tempting Western Recipes, 250 Tempting Recipes, Many Characteristic Northwestern, Southwestern and Mexican Recipes.
Housed in intriguing wooden boards, with the decoration carved into them, and then the woman and wagons painted (I'm assuming the painting had to be hand done). The boards were likely re-used from another application because there are slat holes when viewed from the side.
The recipes look amazing and delicious. If you've spent any significant time in the Southwest you know how delicious dishes like Red Pepper Jam, Chile Con Carne and Barbecue Spare Ribs can be.
This recipe book doesn't look like it's spent any time in the kitchen; there are no food/moistuire stains, lingering smells, or written notes. With the boards impressing onto the wrappers of the cookbook, this is a beautiful copy of this work.
