Richly illustrated Discoveries and Inventions of the Nineteenth Century, by Roberg Routledge. This copy bound handsomely in a prize binding of Aldeburgh School; Reginald E. Crosse won it in 1879 for "Mathematics Summer Term"; this school now operates as Orwell Park in Nacton.
This book is richly illustrated with interesting and engaging illustrations showing things such as the Crystal Palace, color spectrum, how to make ghosts on stage, etc.. A handsome book, with great illustrations.
