Sorry, this item has sold.

Circa 1900 Randolph Caldecott's Collection of Pictures and Songs, in a handsome publisher's binding, with many full-page color illustrations in that wonderful method of Caldecott.

Stories include House that Jack Built, Jovial Huntsman, Queen of Hearts, Babes in the Woods, Farmber Box, Sing a Song of Sixpence, Mad Dog and Jon Gilpin.

Physical Attributes -

Measures approx. 23 x 20 x 2.5 cm. Green hardcover cloth publisher's binding with decoration. Decorative paper endpapers. Illustrated.

Condition -

See pictures. Some wear. Tear in cover fabric at top 2" of front joint. One 1 cm tear at top of spine. Front bottom corner looks repaired. Some rubs to boards. Ex libris plate on pastedown, and inscription under it, both "xmas '31".Toning and foxing to blank endpapers. Occasional fox spot here-and-there throughout, not bad, more along fore-edge likely caused by thumbing. A little dust occasionally at gutter. Slight separation at gutter between 24 and 25. Pages are bright. No writing or child scribbles. Light ghost of something on page 9 of Babes in the Woods. Last few pages bumped at top corner. I nitpicked, but mostly a nice book, with great color and free of molestation.
