A dictionary/lexicon of technical Hebrew expressions used during the Rishonim period (11th-15th centuries), prepared by Menahem Ben Abraham Bonafos of Perpignan, a 14-15th century philosopher living in Perpignan. This is the second edition, with the additions/editing of Isaac Satanow, following a first edition printed in 1567.

Measures approx. 23 x 19 x 2 cm. Hardcover binding with leather spine and corners and marbled paper covering the boards. Spine with four raised bands; four compartments with a central blind tool, and one compartment with the title and editor in gilt on red morocco, with the year and publishing place in gilt at the base of the spine.

Condition -
See pictures. Nice binding with just a little wear at the corners (light). Some toning and ghosting of turn-ins to endpapers. "w215" written on front pastedown in graphite. Text block is toned, more towards edges. There are occasional worm tracks (light), thumbing, fox spots, etc. as typical to paper of this age. Deckled edges indicate the book was opened, not trimmed. At page 57 recto, page 58 verso, there is a rust spot on the top third of the page that indicates a place marker, now gone, discolored the paper.
