1911 Prize Book, Bramcote Scarborough award for French Vth Form, Prize binding. The Classic Myths.

A handsome early 1900's "prize book", given to Martin Cooper for his work in Vth Form French.  The book was presented by the Bramcote Scarborough school, located in North Yorkshire.  Two men who served as Headmaster (at different points) signed it, Douglas Slater and Richard Pidcock.

The book itself is an American printing (1911) of The Classic Myths. 

Physical Attributes -

Leather with gilt decoration.  Measures 19.5 x 14 x 3.25 cm. 597 pages. Top edge gilt (TEG).

Condition -

See pictures. Shelf wear with a few marks to boards and wear at edges.  Slightest chip at turn in at top of spine. Leather has a nice feel (not dry). A little fade to spine. Inscription on endpaper discussing, with signature of two Headmasters.  No other writing. No tears.
