Physical Attributes -
Each vol. measures approx. 20.5 x 14 x 3 cm. Gilt decorated publisher's binding, with original cloth wrappers (with gilt name on spine), and mylar sleeve protecting. Illustrated. Top-edge gilt. Silk place keeping ribbon. Volume one - 273 pages. Volume two - 275 pages.
See pictures. Protected by original wraps, and mylar (not taped). Still, slightest sunning to wrapper spine and wrapper has a few small rubs and marks but still very nice. Book bindings are beautiful, without issue. Pencil bookseller notes on flyleaf (1st blank page). Illustrations slightly ghost onto facing page. Slightest toning to paper, with a touch of dust along fore and bottom edge. An (very) occasional fox spot or two. Silk place-keeping ribbon a little frayed at top and bottom. Despite nit-picking the issues, these are very handsome books have been well protected by the mylar and wraps; you'd be very hard pressed to find nicer copies.
