Complete 1947 Amazing Stories collection; 12 issues, January through December.
The cover artwork alone is stunning. Then you have 17 cm (thick) of post-war science fiction fare! The technological advancements of WWII contribute richly to these tales. And also, the period advertisements are delightful.
Physical Attributes -
Measures approx. 24.5 x 17 x 17 cm.. Twelve magazines. January through December of 1947.
Condition -
See pictures. Vintage patina. Magazine board edges are chipped, and the spines show some rust spots and chipping at top and bottom (minor, mostly there). Pages are yellowed throughout. It seems like the 1st six issues might have had a little moisture on the top edge as there are tide marks at the top margin in these. The last six issues do not seem to have this. There is a B written on the cover of September. Inside, mostly clean. I found one page where it must have been open and the moisture tide mark and some dust intrudes a little farther. But other than that, I didn't find much to note. Just toned throughout, and a little brittle, as is typical to this paper.
