A 1556 edition of Vesaliensis' abridgement of the medieval works of Petrus Lombardus, printed in this smaller format for the intended audience of university students.
This copy has copious Latin notes, both at the front endpapers, and in the margins of the text. Also, at the gutter of the title page, there is a fragment of a medieval manuscript used to strengthen the spine during binding. Adding to the 16th century allure of this work, the panel-stamped calf boards are still retained (but worn).
